This is a "single blended rum," meaning, according to the classification established by Luca Gargano, a blend of rums from the same distillery, distilled in different stills (in this case, the same year, 2006, since it's a vintage): in a double-retort copper still, and in a traditional Coffey-style column still.
After aging for 10 years in Barbados (which implies an angel's share of over 72%, as indicated on the back of the bottle), including 3 in bourbon barrels and 7 in Cognac barrels, it was bottled at its natural strength, i.e., without the addition of spring water, at 62%.
Given the very small quantity of copies allocated to us, we have limited the possibility of purchasing this rum to one sample per order, in order to offer the greatest number of people the opportunity to taste it. Thank you for your understanding.
