Proudly co-bottled with Gaston for Passion Rhum Bielle
Rhum Vieux Marie-Galante 2014, 100% Tropical Aged in Bourbon Barrel #71, Cask Strength, 53.5%, only 300 bottles, 500ml
"Mika and Gaston visited the RVMG cellar to select two exceptional barrels for the Facebook group: Passion Rhums Bielle, carefully pre-selected by Jérôme Thiery and Jacques Larrent. These choices perfectly embody the authenticity and expertise of the island."
Color: Light brown
Nose: An aromatic symphony where minty freshness and the sweetness of licorice blend harmoniously with gourmet notes of frangipane and soft Basque cake. Subtle touches of fresh cane sugar, milk chocolate, and a light vanilla woodiness complete this captivating bouquet.
Palate: The initially watery attack quickly develops into a rich, oily texture, infusing the palate with creamy vanilla. Menthol and licorice bring a welcome freshness, balancing a woody note with hints of cognac and vetiver. Yellow fruits, such as plum and barely ripe apricot, intertwine with dark chocolate, adding depth and complexity.
Finish: Medium-length but intensely pleasant, it leaves lingering impressions of white wood and licorice, inviting a repeat tasting.
Conclusion: This rum embodies the refined and bold expression of the Marie-Galante terroir, offering an unforgettable sensory experience for discerning connoisseurs.
