Savanna Unshared Cask #727 is a rum cuvée bottled exclusively for the French market in 2023. This rum was selected by the Savanna distillery in partnership with the Facebook group "Les compagnons du rhum."
This special edition is a single cask, meaning it comes from a single cask, in this case cask number 727. This cask was aged for six years in the famous cell number 4, located in the distillery's renowned wet cellar in Réunion.
The cask, which previously contained cognac, was used from March 2021 to house a blend of two traditional molasses rums distilled in 2016. These two rums were previously aged in small 230-liter ex-Port casks from Tonnellerie Bossuet.
The cuvée was bottled at cask strength, at its original strength of 62.1°, and only 720 numbered bottles were taken from this single cask.
