Swell de Spirits is an independent, family-owned bottler based in Pessac, France. The company was founded in 2021 by Michael Barbaria and Kelly. They release a variety of limited-edition bottled rums, whiskies, Armagnacs, and cognacs from distilleries around the world.
Eastern Tales No. 3 “The Heron” is the third vintage in this series, created specifically for our gourmet restaurant Constantia, opening on September 6, 2024, in Bordeaux. The Heron represents purity, serenity, and prosperity. It is one of the most important symbols of ancestral Chinese culture, often depicted in paintings, ceramics, and poems to express wishes for happiness, prosperity, and success.
This Jamaican rum comes from the New Yarmouth distillery. This is the 2009 vintage, a rare and sought-after year for this distillery due to its high ester content. It is aged for 15 years in ex-bourbon barrels. It was bottled in June 2024, cask strength (61.2%). Only 200 bottles were produced.
