Bottled exclusively for the Limoges Spirits Festival 2025
Jamaican Rum, a blend of Hampden C<>H 2007 and Hampden <H> 2013, finished in a Guyanese ex-rum cask (Diamond PM 2011), 64.9% ABV, cask strength, only 87 bottles, 500ml
"For this 3rd edition of the Limoges Spirits Festival, we've combined Jamaican funk with Guyanese exoticism. A Jam that will captivate you!"
Nose: Elegant and smooth, which is surprising given what lies within. Ripe and stewed fruits take center stage, followed by a touch of dried varnish. Then, in the background, a deliberate indulgence: imagine a tart still warm in its buttered metal pan, a crisp golden croissant, melted milk chocolate… All enhanced by a touch of spice, a hint of disorienting smoky paprika.
Palate: It all starts gently, but very quickly, the kick kicks in. An explosion of overripe fruit, a return of the glaze, this time still fresh – before the indulgence takes over again: cooked fruit, roasted notes, a hint of coffee, cocoa powder sprinkled on freshly made hot chocolate, accompanied by chocolate petits fours on a polished silver platter.
Finish: Round and comforting, the pleasure lingers with perfectly cooked fruit, melted butter, and that impression of shortcrust pastry emerging from a plastic mold, in a final note that is both warm and intriguing.
Conclusion: A blend of two casks brimming with fruity and funky flavors, finished in a particularly rich cask. The result? A three-dimensional explosion!
