Nose: There's no mistaking its origin; the Caroni signature is unmistakable. Freshly poured bitumen and melted rubber dominate, dense, almost burning, accompanied by an industrial touch. The profile then gradually opens up, revealing roasted fruits: caramelized mango, candied papaya, and juicy, lightly toasted peach. A breath of licorice and menthol crosses the whole, bringing a pleasant freshness that balances the darkness. The more the glass breathes, the more fascinating the contrast becomes between tarry warmth and fruity brightness.
Palate: Full and powerful from the first sip. The dark side immediately takes over: hydrocarbons, hot rubber. Very quickly, fresh and roasted fruits return in full force: mango, papaya, peach; some even come out stewed, adding a delightful richness. The menthol freshness gradually takes hold. The balance between raw intensity and fruity roundness is remarkable.
