The return of a TDL at Spirit Gallery, with a pleasant surprise: aged in the same cask as the 2003 TDL that had already won over enthusiasts!
This vintage, distilled in 2009 at TDL from molasses, has benefited from double aging: 14 years in ex-bourbon casks and 2 years in ex-TDL 2003 casks.
A little gem of craftsmanship and audacity, still offered with coasters reflecting the spirit of the vintage…
The result : All the TDL markers we love, very heavy and empyreumatic, lots of red fruit and underpinned by a hint of menthol/w**d, with a new complexity thanks to the finish in the 2003 cask.
If you like TDLs, this should be a banger …
