Marie Galante, the island of 100 mills, renowned for its sugar cane and its transport by tractor-drawn plow, offers us this cask strength rum from the Bielle distillery.
Aged entirely in Sauternes barrels from a prestigious house, this sumptuous 6-year-old rum is bottled at its natural strength.
Our tasting notes: Bielle YQM Vintage 2012
Nose: Scents of white fruits (white peach, pear), a lovely freshness on the nose, and eucalyptus.
Palate: Soft and subtle attack. Rich with citrus notes (lime and clementine). Gingerbread and mahogany.
Finish: A lingering and long finish of fruit, spices, fresh almond, and precious wood.
