This Grande Champagne cognac comes from a farm founded in 1719 that has been producing cognac for decades. Distilled in the late 1980s, it is now the oldest cask on the estate.

It's hard to tell from the nose that this is Grande Champagne. It's both harmonious and complex, more spicy than fruity. After a moment of rest, the palate, rich and full-bodied, reveals notes of candied fruit (orange, date, and fig) enveloped in spices, with roundness and power. It's rich, indulgent, very long, with a beautifully enveloping oak influence.
