Bielle - Vintage 2002 is an exceptional rhum agricole, produced on the island of Marie-Galante by the renowned Bielle distillery.
Distilled in a Creole column still in 2002 from pure sugarcane juice, it aged for 12 years in Bourbon barrels before being bottled in February 2014, undiluted, at its cask strength.
This rare and precious vintage was limited to 1,144 hand-numbered decanters.
This vintage showcases the unique expertise of the Bielle distillery, offering a precise, complex, and exceptionally elegant rum. Long aging in Bourbon barrels imparts an outstanding aromatic richness, enhancing the freshness and typicity of the sugarcane.
A refined and intense tasting experience
The nose reveals a patinated and delicate wood, subtly absorbing the sugarcane. A column of ripe fruit and sweet mirabelle plums rises, supported by a gentle woodiness with hints of nougat and almonds.
On the palate, the generosity of this cask strength rum is surprising: a mentholated and varnished attack precedes an explosion of vibrant sugarcane, with fruity and spicy notes.
