Neisson 2004 15 Year Old

Neisson 15 YO Release 2020 was produced from pure sugar cane juice harvested on plots belonging to the Neisson family. Fermented for a long time thanks to a selection of its own yeasts, it is distilled in the Savalle copper column built by Grégory Neisson's grandfather. A selection of only 500 bottles of rum aged on July 9, 2004 and coming from 3 ex-bourbon casks, bottled on April 23, 2020.

Jean and Adrien Neisson acquired their estate in Le Carbet in 1922, building the distillery nine years later. It remains part of the family to this day, saved by Jean’s daughter Claudine, who quit her job as a hospital physician to run it after his death. Her son Gregory is now its master distiller. He produces its esteemed agricole rum on the distillery’s single-column Savalle still, constructed back in 1938.

This is a 15 year old rhum vieux agricole, bottled in 2020.
