The HSE Hors d‘Age hails from the Distillerie du Simon in Martinique. Distilled in 1960 using sugar cane juice and a Column Still, this rum boasts an ABV of 45%.
HSE Grande Réserve 1960 vintage is a rare AOC rum, one of the oldest. Proudly crafted at Habitation Saint-Etienne, it embodies their expertise. Originally The Maugée, it transformed into Saint-Etienne in 1863. Amedee Aubery’s 1882 acquisition modernized it. The Lézarde river powered the estate and still aids cane juice dilution. In 1994, the Hayot family bought it, renovating the historic site and relocating the column still to Simon. Thus, HSE was born, short for Habitation Saint-Etienne.
