Distilled in 2014 in the Hampden distillery's double-iron still, this rum bears the H mark ♢, associated with an ester concentration of between 900 and 1000 g/hL AA.
After four years of ageing in a tropical climate in Jamaica, it continued its maturation for seven years in Europe, in a barrel that had contained bourbon.
This double maturation, lasting a total of 11 years, enriches its organoleptic palette while respecting the identity of the distillery.
Limited to only 247 bottles, this barrel-strength bottling has not undergone any filtration or addition.
Tasting notes
The nose reveals an intense tropical bouquet, typical of Hampden, with aromas of exotic fruits, candied fruits and macerated grapes.
On the palate, the aromatic explosion is confirmed: the fruity richness is fully expressed, supported by a perfectly controlled high alcohol content.
The long and complex finish extends the experience brilliantly.
