According to the classification established by Luca Gargano, Habitation Velier Hampden 2010 HLCF is a pure single rum, distilled in a single traditional pot still. Distilled in 2010 in a double-retort pot still at the Hampden distillery, the rum was then aged for six years on site before being bottled in 2016.

This rum is high in esters, the "non-alcoholic elements" that give rum its aromas, due to an extremely long fermentation process in keeping with Jamaican tradition.
